150 Music announces 150 Productions, a new theatrical producing division with the premier of LOVE, LINDA: THE LIFE OF MRS. COLE PORTER.
LOVE, LINDA, a new one-woman musical about Linda Porter and her life with husband Cole Porter, debuted last fall Off-Broadway at The Triad Theater in New York City from October 28 to November 21, 2009.
With music and lyrics by Cole Porter, arrangements by Gary william Friedman and book by Stevie Holland and Gary William Friedman, LOVE, LINDA stars Stevie Holland as Linda Porter, the Southern beauty who married the legendary songwriter Cole Porter at the dawn of the roaring twenties.
After a successful initial engagement, LOVE, LINDA returned to the triad Theater for three months in the spring of 2010 and is now touring regionally. Stay tuned for more news!

COLLOQUY is the debut classical recording release by versatile composer Gary William Friedman, best known for his groundbreaking score for the TONY nominated, OBIE Award winning musical THE ME NOBODY KNOWS.
An exciting and challenging collection, the CD contains varied, and highly personal and introspective works:
Passages, a dramatic clarinet concerto, Song Of Moses, a stark, a capella choral work, Colloquy, a sonata for viola and piano, featuring NY Philharmonic violist Judith Nelson and internationally acclaimed concert pianist Judith Lynn Stillman, and My Heart’s Friend, an orchestral setting of four poems for soprano and baritone.

Legendary jazz producer Todd Barkan has joined forces with Tim Peierls and Gary William Friedman to produce Before Love Has Gone, Stevie Holland's latest CD, helping to shape what promises to be her most important release yet. Barkan, who has recorded upward of 1,000 albums, describes Holland's performance of "Lazy Afternoon" as "One of the finest vocals I have ever recorded". 150 Music is happy to have Todd Barkan as a member of our producing family, and looks forward to continuing to develop a fruitful relationship.

150 MUSIC SIGNS DISTRIBUTION DEAL WITH NILE RODGERS’ SUMTHING DISTRIBUTION

Effective September 2003, 150 Music has signed a national retail distribution deal with Sumthing Distribution. Sumthing Distribution (formerly Touchwood) Distribution was recently purchased by music producer Nile Rodgers (Sister Sledge, Diana Ross, Duran Duran, David Bowie, Mick Jagger, The B-52's, INXS, Madonna,…). Nile is also well known as the founder of CHIC, the classic dance band of the late seventies. 150 Music looks forward to working with Sumthing Distribution in getting our titles out to music lovers everywhere!

150 MUSIC SCORES COUP WITH ATLANTIC RECORDS

After 30 years, Atlantic Records has licensed the rights to 150 Music to release for the first-time-ever on Compact Disc the Original Cast Album from the smash hit musical THE ME NOBODY KNOWS. THE ME NOBODY KNOWS opened in New York off-Broadway at the Orpheum Theater in 1970 and moved to Broadway in 1971 at the Helen Hayes Theater. It won OBIE and Drama Desk awards including Best Musical and was nominated for Five Tony Awards. The musical score, composed by Gary William Friedman with Lyrics by Will Holt and additional Lyrics by Herb Schapiro spawned hit songs by The 5th Dimension ("Light Sings") and The Staple Singers ("This World").
